In 1961 Ronald Reagan said that this spooky socialist medicine being debated would result in the United States becoming a socialist state. He was talking about Medicare, which IS in fact a social insurance system.
You can see that he was right. We are all standing in long, Soviet-style lines to buy one of the few loaves of bread the collectives have been able to put on the shelves, most of us being told we'll have to come back tomorrow and try again.
Medicare recipients have to wait for months, sometimes years, to see a physician that the government decides they can see. They have no choice whatsoever.
When the government has spent more than $50,000 on a Medicare patient, it impanels a death panel before which the sick Medicare patient must be wheeled, IV stand and all, to hear them pronounce the patient either eligible for another $1000 in medical care, or queued up in the "No longer useful to the state - LIQUIDATE!" procession on its way to the local Edward G. Robinson Memorial Euthanasia Center.
Under risk of (even more premature) death the elderly secretly keep autographed photos of Ronald Reagan taped to the bottoms of their wheelchairs, the photos reading "See? I told you so!" Some of them have been taped over recently with photos of Sarah Palin, with handwritten inscription, "See? Ronnie told you so!"
Physicians have been forced to resort to another socialist program - food stamps - in order to survive, since Medicare pays so little and so slowly - sometimes never. Charities have stepped in to pull the worst cases from the brink of starvation and homeless shelter flop houses are allowing physicians to "crash" between surgeries.
Some physicians have tried in vain to leave the profession, but have been forced at gunpoint to perform what used to be a lucrative profession. Refusal means the firing squad.
The elderly are escaping in droves and emigrating to places like Bosnia and Somalia where they can still receive decent medical care.
Those forced by circumstances to remain in the hell hole socialist United States have 85% of their comrade's allowance confiscated to pay for this joke the government calls "Medicare." Ha. What a joke it is.
And now? Now, the government wants to inflict that same misery on those of us who are still able to receive cheap, reliable health care from the magnanimous insurance companies who go door to door, begging the invalid and bedridden to take advantage of their humanitarianism, offering deep discounts based on the ability of patients to pay, their executives going years without bonuses and sometimes even turning down their salaries out of shame for their inability to insure every last American.
Listen to the poor Medicare prisoners begging, pleading for mercy. Fight for your freedom before it's too late! Turn to those beloved saints who are always there for us - the insurance companies - for your salvation.
Kill Obamacare! Kill it now in its infancy before it can spiral down into Medicare for All! We should have killed it while it was only a fetus! Kill. Kill now.
